Who am I?
I am a certified Media Specialist with a Masters Degree in Library and Information
Science from Florida State University whose program is accredited by the American
Library Association. I have worked mostly with elementary and middle school aged
children; however, I am certified to teach library skills to pre-K through high school
students. I am certified in Michigan and Georgia. I recently attended the annual
convention of the American Library Association in Washington, D.C.

My thoughts on education
I strongly believe that the Media Center is the hub of any educational institution,
and in order for a school to work to its fullest potential, the Media Specialist must
be willing to collaborate with all staff and faculty. Using all types of media to
include books, video, audio and technology is important to reach children of
multiple intelligences.
